Spent Earth is a high-energy substance produced after the bleaching process used in the Vegetable Oil Industry’s Physical Refining process. We construct his pellet before extracting the oil, and then we extract the oil using the Solvent Extraction Process.

Preparation of Spent Bleaching Earth

The preparation section has been specially designed to prepare the Spent Bleaching Earth suitable for Solvent Extraction. The Spent Bleaching Earth is screened to remove the foreign material through a specially designed rotary screener.
The Spent Bleaching Earth is subjected to thermal conditioning operation where moisture level and temperature are raised to the required levels and will be passed through the horizontal palletizers to make compressed perforated pallets.
The pallets are then sun dried to evaporate the excess moisture and to give proper texture to the pellets, which will be suitable for Hexane extraction.

Extractor

This section is designed with high technical norms where the extraction phenomenon takes place under high sealing criteria. Extractor is a vertical cylindrical model which receives the material from through the conveyor over the top. Once the tank is filled with raw material as the designed capacity of extractor is completely sealed with the doors and hexane is forces into the tank to start the percolation. Once the oil is extracted the extractors are left over with drying process to recover the hexane vapors from the raw material. Hence after the desired result with min. oil loss and hexane recovery tank is opened and manually de-oiled material is removed from the extractors. In this way, the number of tanks together go for extraction one by one.

Distillation

It will be completed in 2 stages at temperatures not exceeding 100ºC to yield an oil of good color and quality, free of volatiles and moisture, which can cause increase of FFA in storage.
In the first stage 50% of the removal of PE is done in a Rising Film Evaporator using hot vapors for DT. This specially designed Rising Film Evaporator is an Energy Saving Device.
The next step is a RISING FILM unit where 98% HEXANE removal is done using steam. The final traces of HEXANE are removed in a vacuum stripper by open steam stripping and the oil, is then dried to desired level in an integral vacuum drier.
